Wild blueberries in late Sept in MN

    Found many plants, several with berries, near our lake shore. Located in Northern MN near Lake Itasca. Could this be a lookalike?

    You need to watch out for toxic look-alikes like some of the shrubby honeysuckles, and buckthorns.

    These could be blueberries (Vaccinium) or huckleberries (Gaylussacia). I remember that similar berries in Missouri were mostly huckleberries, but I don't know about Minnesota.
