I am new to collecting and want to know what type this is. I have been reading and learning about identification but I just haven't got the complete hang of it. Would someone please tell me what these are? They are similar to the pics of an oyster mushroom and the color of the pores are pearly white to light gray (on the blue paper, I did not have any black). They were growing on a dead oak and hickory tree in North Alabama. Thank you for your help

Some sort of oyster mushroom. Don't know what grows in Alabama, but we have 2 common oysters here in the Northwest, both edible, one good, one insipid to bitter depending on the host.
