Hello! I found this wonderfully smelling large bush (it was about 7 feet tall or about 2 meters) in Heidelberg (Germany) that smelled kindof like strawberries but more like a dessert with them every time I walked by it. I was wondering if anyone had a clue what this was or where I could try and look it up. It had one main blooming period for a few weeks at the beginning of July but had a second smaller one a few weeks ago. Thanks for the help!

    Calycanthus

Mike--check out Carolina allspice, calycanthus floridus.

Not a common plant here in the west of North America, sounds like a nice one tho!
