I just splurged and bought a lovely, dainty, woodlander; Anemonella thalictroides and I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for good companion plantings.
The variety I have is a pale pink double called 'Cameo'. I believe only gets about 6" tall and is slow growing as well as summer dormant. I was thinking of planting it in front of my Hosta 'Halcyon' but since I have to divide my hostas every two or three years I'm afraid it might overwhelm the Anemonella. I also bought Corydalis solida, Dodecatheon hendersonii, Erythronium hendersonii and three Anemone nemoralis hybrids, all of which are also summer dormant. I'd like to make the best use of my limited space so it would be best if they were 'under' something which was late rising and/or not too vigorous. Does anyone in my area have experience with Anemonella or Erithronium?
