Hi - regarding the Vancouver Gold plant: I have just planted one in my yard in Whistler BC and would like to know if it is a noxious plant and therefore endangering other plants.

If you have any information about this, please let me know.

Genista pilosa 'Vancouver Gold' is not an invasive plant. The true 'Vancouver Gold' is fruitless and will not spread vegetatively to the extent that it could be considered invasive.

If you have a 'Vancouver Gold' that produces fruit, then likely you've purchased one of the plants that some nurseries in the Lower Mainland have been selling as 'Vancouver Gold', but isn't. Still, this plant shouldn't be invasive either.
