Unknown shrub in Albuquerque, New Mexico

    Someone sent this along to me, it popped up in their backyard in south Albuquerque, New Mexico. They get water from the ditches along the Rio Grande, quite a lot of cultivars pop up in their yard. I can't place it though.

    First impressions perhaps one of the evergreen Elaeagnus species. Can you get some leaf close-ups, particularly showing the underside of the leaves as well as above.

    I'll see if I can get sent better photos. My first thought was a Prunus species.

    Thanks! Yep, Teague has it - a plum Prunus sp.
