I have a plant in my woods that I've never seen before. It has a cluster of tight, compact red bery-like fruit on a central stalk. The leaves look like moose antlers and a very soft and moist. I'll attach a photograph.

I agree. I cant see the leaves on this one but the fruit on the arums in my yard look just like this.

  4. Definitely Arum Family (Araceae). Look up plants in that Family in wildflower guides covering your area.

I too thought it was an Arum, but not one I'd seen. Your suggestions took me to the internet and I noticed how the arums looked much like a Jack-in-the-pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum). My property is thick with them. I did not know they fruited. Thanks for leading me to this discovery.
