Tree in Valemount BC backyard

Hi, I was also wondering what this tree is in my backyard. I live in Valemount BC. Thanks!

 

One of the purple-leaf crabapple (Malus) cultivars.

The ripe fruit is edible when cooked (jam / jelly), and also good for attracting birds.
