Can someone tell me why all green leaves fell off my tibouchina? This took about a week and now both have no leaves. I've been keeping the soil moist to dry. They only get moring sun. The past week the temperatures have been in the 90's to 106F during the day. None of the leaves turned yellow or brown.

Did the soil completely dry out at any point?

The surface has. They were in the ground for about a month and were watered daily. The rest of the plants around them are doing fine.

I recently planted another Tibouchina in the same area. It was doing great for 2 months, now that the temperatures hit the upper 90's the green leaves are falling off.
    The soil never got dry
Can these plant tolerate that heat? Also my Citronella leaves are now turning brown
