    number 2 is Weigela

    number 1 has the look of rewarewa Knightia excelsa or NZ honeysuckle from the leaf shape. but I am not certain from the flower buds

    foliage is close but flower is quite different (see better photo attached).

    Yes flowers are not right for Knightia

    could it be ixerba ?
