i have about a dozen strawberry plants in pots of varying sizes outside;some quite small.
to survive the winter, would they be better off in the ground or will they be ok in the pots ?

I have had a strawberry plant in a pot on my balcony for several years (the same plant). My West End balcony might be warmer than your situation, though.

thanks for the reply, wendy. if your strawberry plant survived outdoors through last years big freeze, then these should survive almost any winter that we can throw at it in the vancouver area. i will move them up against the south side of the house, just to be a little safer.
