    Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me identify this shrub. I saw it growing in a garden in Devon, Engalnd - close to where we live. I am fairly familiar with most trees and shrubs that will grow here but this one has me guessing. You can't tell from my attached image but the leaves are finely divided - very similar to Acacia Dealbata. In fact I suspect it may be an Acacia. I would be very grateful for any help in identifying this plant.

    Regards and thanks

    Barry

Thanks Ron, you put me on the right track. I have traced it as Acacia baileyana ‘Purpurea' here in the UK

That's right. I was thinking of the correct plant but used the wrong species name, by mistake. I knew it was 'baileyana' and not 'dealbata'.
