spider mite? on a blue spruce

    The tree is about 7 feet tall.
    is it time to replace it?
    we tried a water jet on them, doubt it does any good.
    looks like quite an infestation.

    we have had hot dry weather here in van isle.
    apparently the winter was not cold enough to kill most. so there is quite a problem this year

    Closer view needed. Much closer if mites are to become visible. Try peering at the tree with a magnifier, particularly if the problem is aphids those should show right up.

    a day after the water jets it is covered in spider webs.

    Spider webs are probably spiders and not mites.

    we will remove the tree as we are told that dead stuff will not recover, altho the tips will
