    Smilacina is now Maianthemum
Smilacina was transferred to Maianthemum in 1986 (Taxon, vol. 35, La Frankie, James V. ) based on uniform kayotype (Therman, 1956) and La Frankie’s own work on this genus.

Since Smilacina is now Maianthemum, and the Liliaceae family has been re-worked, then Maianthemum’s family is now Ruscaceae (since Convallariaceae is included in Ruscaceae) and not in the Liliaceae.
