Hi everyone, hope all are well.

I realize time is getting slim, but I was hoping that someone would be able to help me find a source for micranthum, davidii, and sinopurpurascens seed. The micranthum and sinopurpurascens are proving especially hard to track down.

    Thanks!

Maples of the World notes "it is virtually impossible to viable seed of Acer sinopurpurascens." That was then, but I haven't seen seed for sale anywhere. In part I suppose because it is dioecious and if I remember correctly the plant at Trompenburg is male; it is the source for our European grafts, but maybe there is more material available in the States?

Davidii is widely available but does have a tendency to hybridize, as do all the macrantha maples. I don't know why micranthum would be hard to find, but if you can get any I'd be happy to send you some next year (if you remind me).

Good luck, and let us know if you find any sinopurpurascens!

    cheers, -E

Greatly appreciate the info and seed offer, Emery.

I've found davidii, you are correct, rather easily, but all the micranthum sources seem to be outside the states.
