Scented Sun Orchid (Thelymitra macrophylla) close-up of flower, Mount Barker, Western Australia, October
Thelymitra is one of the terrestrial orchids a genus of orchids known as 'sun orchids' because of their habit of only opening in sunny day, closing when cloudy or cold. During my trip in South West Australia last September/October I came across many plants but only that one met required conditions to reveal its flowers.

During my stay in Sterling Range I was introduced to excellent reference book:
Hoffman, Noel; Brown, Andrew 1996 ORCHIDS OF SOUTH-WEST AUSTRALIA ISBN: 1875560513 (out of print, with prices over £700.00 now). University of Western Australia Press Publication is due to publish update of the book.
