  1. I am looking for a source of grape vines for planting in the northern Gulf Islands (Denman). We are hoping to do a 1 acre pilot planting in spring 2005. We would prefer to try a number of varieties, both table and wine. We have a variety of soil types, and are able to irrigate.

I've noticed quite a few wine and table grape varieties in the Fragrant Flora nursery catalogue. <www.fragrantflora.com> You'd have to email the owner and request a catalogue. You should also inquire as to what he currently has available in the way of grapes. He's on the Sunshine Coast.

There might also be nurseries in the Cowichan Valley that sell grapes.

    good source - thanks

Fragrant Flora (Glenn Lewis) has close to 30 varieties of table and wine grapes and some good advice to boot. Thanks

Tappen valley growers in the BC interior are a good wholesale source of grafted grapes.
