    Hello,

If I am already growing sweet basil in my home garden and plan to add some thai basil as well, will this result in a cross between the two?

If I plant both varieties as far apart as I can, will pollinating bees be an issue?
How about putting the thai basil in a pot indoors and keeping the sweet basil outside?

Any advice would be most welcome.

Your basil plants will not change. If you allow them to go to seed and then grow new plants from the seed, you might get hybrids. I have 3 kinds of basil in one pot. They remain distinct.

Yes I plant to collect the seeds and replant. So i guess growing the thai basil indoors will be the best way to go.

    Thanks a lot Eric!
