Thank you very Tyrlych, I appreciate your help, I was looking in all my West Coast books but couldn't find it.

    A follow-up question regarding cornflower.

(I came here looking for help to identify a purple flower and came across this thread; apparently it's a cornflower.)

    So, now I am wondering:
Is cornflower considered a weed in BC?
    Is it invasive?
Should it be mowed down, or left alone?

This is a very tenacious weed. It was growing at our last house in Vancouver. It seeds prolifically and pops up all over the place.
