    Please can you add a really clear image of a single flower.
    I think it is in Melastomataceae.
    But cannot see enough detail to try and go further.

    It reminds me of something in Onagraceae, perhaps Epilobium? Leaf venation doesn't look quite right for Melastomataceae.

    I think I am warm..even the leaves seem a good match. Maybe some one else can help.
    However Melastomaceae is a rather large family and I am not 100% positive.
    I am sure it is not Epilobium.

    The first link in message 5 above of the Centradenia floribunda actually comes from Columbia...I have seen it growing on Madeira.
