Propagating a lilac

    hi i am new to this site and love all the help that you guys give. I have one question and that is can you take a branch off of a lilic tree and start a new tree with it. i just love them.thank you momk

    Hi Momk,

    Glad you find the posts helpful. :) To propagate your lilac you can either dig up the suckers or take cuttings of either hardwood or softwood. This site explains how to take the different cuttings and grow them.
