    Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience propagating pomegranate trees? I have tried cuttings and seeds that I've collected from dried up fruits on the ground. I used a rooting hormone with the cuttings as well, but they dried up anyways. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

Pomegranates can be propagated easily by either hardwood or softwood cuttings. The use of a rooting compound helps greatly, and the softwood cuttings must be misted or kept in a high humidity. Root suckers can be dug from the base of the plant and transplanted, and it is also possible to increase them by layering, budding or grafting. They also grow easily from fresh seed, but the resulting shrub or tree is ALWAYS ALWAYS of inferior quality. - Millet (1,301-)
