My mother gave me a Poinsiana Tree seed. I followed the directions I had seen on the Internet and the tree sprouted and started growing like crazy. I repotted the tree as I was instructed each time it grew a certain amount. The weather here in Huntsville, Texas went crazy and the temperature was down to 19 for a few days. I had the tree along with my orchids in the garage where I have a heater and grow light. Unforturnately, my baby trees little leaves started turning brown and the baby limbs started falling off. Is my tree dying or does it need something? Thank you.

Just keep it warm - maybe bring it into the house - and don't water it too much, and it should recover for you. Framboyans (Poinciana) don't like to be chilled, and what's happening to yours is a classic cold-shock reaction.
