We moved into a home three years ago in Southern California with an already mature grapefruit tree present. It has always been prolific and given off the sweetest grapefruit. This last year, the grapefruits were as small as lemons and baseballs and one trunk of the tree appears to be leaking sap and dying. I’ve included photos. If anybody could please tell me what might be happening to the tree that would be much appreciated.
    Thank you fellow gardeners,
    Leslie

If so -- did you change something in the yard in the last three years? Was that lawn (which I imagine needs extensive watering) there before?
