Plant identification

    Found this early in season and thought it was a patch of crabgrass. Noticed the cat liked to eat it so I moved it to another area in the garden for her to better access it. Well, after a few months it has grown into this. Thoughts on what it is (see photo)?

    Thank you. Now I have to figure out how it got into my yard.

    Bird feeder in neighbour's backyard. They go there to feed and in my yard to "work it off"! Mystery solved.
