Pine Trees

I park my car under a pine tree and do cover it with a car cover because of the tree sap.

My question is this: Do pine trees drop sap all year round? I live in Colorado where it snows and gets extremely cold. Do I still need to worry about tree sap during these very cold periods?

Shouldn't be a problem when the temperature is below freezing.

 

I suspect that your "sap" is actually coming from aphids. This problem is common to many trees and should only occur in the summer months. Here is a link to a Colorado State info sheet:
