I just bought a Phalaenopsis Plant that has finished blooming (it was 1/2 price and I am dutch, what can I say?). I know that Orchids prefer humid conditions, and here in Alberta it is pretty dry, particularly in the winter.
I have never kept an Orchid, so I was wondering if anybody can tell me how to care for it in my climate. It is planted in a 6" orchid pot, on bark, and with some type of moss. What type of light exposure should it have? I have basically East South East and West North West facing windows? Should it be in the window, away from the window?

Any help will be appreciated. How long before a new spike blooms might manifest itself again?
