I live in West Central Florida, less than 10 miles form the Gulf of Mexico

My Carport has three sturdy trellises and gets full sun. I want to cover my carport with a perennial vine.
I want it to provide shade, privacy and something edible. Squash, beans, peas or fruit.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

Muscadine grapes. Maybe Scuppernong. Try and get them from local nurseries, because you must have vines resistant to Pierce's disease.

There are plenty of annuals that will produce fruit or veg, but some of the great perennial vines won't do as well for us this far south.
