Hi, I have a pear tree that appears to have a disease of some sort - but I'm not sure what it is or how to fix it.

There appear to be two problems - on the branches there appears to be some sort of disease that eventually cracks the bark and the branches then die and then on the leaves black spots appear. This tre did begin to grow pears last year and this year but the fruit all fell off when only a few weeks old. Attached are pictures of the problem. Also next to this pear tree is a Apple tree with a similiar problem with the leaves ( though there is no probel with the tree bark)

Any ideas on this problem and how I can fix it would be greatfully recieved..

    thanks
