Identification: On wood inside a containing arriving from China

    The mushroom I know that looks like this is called Schizophyllum commune.

    Because this person's specimen is arriving from a different area on the planet, I'm hesitating on making a positive ID, but I seem to recall that S. commune has a wide global range. Perhaps the same genus but a different species? Perhaps there is someone on this forum from that part of the world who would chime in?

    I think S. commune is a great mushroom! - for how it looks, for its aptronymic medicinal applications and for its impressive sexual diversity!
