A few years ago I read about the DEEP GREEN PROJECT which was approaching nomenclature from a completely new angle. Since, I have also read that this new classification approach based on DNA was finding some inconsistencies even incorrect classification in traditional nomenclature.

I would appreciate a comment from someone in Botanical Science who might be au-fait with the DEEP GREEN PROJECT and its possible repercussions in the not too distant future.

    Thanks.

Various workers in different places have been making new findings based on DNA etc. for some time now. There has been quite a bit of re-classification.
