This plant appeared in a back garden last year and out of curiosity, I left it there.
My next door neighbours have one that's been there about three years, and it's huge.
It's herbaceous, and completely dies to the ground in the winter.
The leaves are quite large (but currently wilted in the sun) and the white flowers are beginning to form seed pods.
    The seeds ripen to red.

I'm in London, Ontario. Does anyone know what it is?

    Maybe Phytolacca americana, pokeweed.

    Thank you for your reply.
I Googled it, and it looks really close. The pokeweed leaves look just a little thicker, narrower, and more pointed. According to my neighbour, her seeds were a real red. The pokeweed seeds appear to go from green, directly to purple.
    Time will tell!
The general structure of the plant does seem the same.
