Hello, I am new to this group and I have a mystery flower that needs a name.My friend brought it back from Italy it grows low almost like a groundcover,if I needed to guess the whole plant is about 10-12". It started with only a few plants and now I have over a dozen from last yr.It starts off with red shoots coming out of the ground it then turns green. It's not a primrose.I have a pic. so please check it out.Im in zone 5.Thanks,in advance.

It looks like a form of Oenothera.
