I would love a name to go with this plant my husband has had for 12 years. It is purple and green and the leaves feel like soft furr or velvet. It grows like a vine , upwards and at the ends it has little flower , which only after over 10 years have started showing .. they are orange buds and not too big, they look like mini dandilions . On the last note the more direct sunlight it gets the more purple the leaves become , the less sunlight they are mroe green .. If ANYONE can give this plant a name we would be most grateful..
    Thank you .. Lina

    Purple Passion Vine

I think you may have a Gynura aurantiaca, commonly called Purple Passion Vine. Take a look at this image and description.
