I just bought this little guy at the Botanical Gardens plant sale and it was a totally healthy plant when I brought it home. Now it has this strange, hardish, crystal-like growth on many of its stems... I'm not sure if this is normal?? I'm thinking not... Please advise if you can! It would be a shame for this little guy to perish so soon after bringing him home!
See pictures for detailed look at the growth.

Is it growing in a pot? Maybe too much fertiliser??

    Hi Michael,
It is growing in a little pot, however, I haven't added any fertilizer since bringing it home (about 2 weeks). It also has good drainage... Any ideas on what I could do to figure out if that is indeed the problem?

    Thanks!
