Propagation: Must pereskiopsis spathulata cuttings be planted in cactus mix?

    Must pereskiopsis spathulata cuttings be planted in cactus mix?
    I just got rather a lot of them, and don't have enough cactus mix for all of them.

    You can plant them in sterile sand, as well.

    Really? And then water them with fertilizer, I guess, eh? I didn't know that.

    A buddy of mine just uses regular potting soil. His are doing great.

    I had to clear out all my pereskiopsis spathulata due to an intractable mealybug infestation.
    Sorry - don't have any for trade or sale.
