Mother Plant

    I travel a lot and most of the time I buy some rare plants rare in my place and I would like to make this plant as a mother plant to increase my stock, so how to create a proper mother plant, thanks in advance

    Stock Plants are "mother" plants used to produce propagation material, whether seed or vegetative material.

    I am assuming this is what you mean. I would think you would need to grow a healthy plant that reaches some sort of maturity then either pick seeds or take sutable cuttings or divisions from it. It would depend on what you are going to get as a stock plant. Some you might be able to multiply the following season others may take years.

    Thanks Liz, yes this what I mean, I need the stock plant (mother) to take cuttings, seeds is easy to buy via the internet but cuttings and plants is not easy to buy from outside the country.
