I'll start with my favourite rhododendron, Rhododendron barbatum. This area seems to have been opened up now, and the view of these trees in bloom was beautiful, but I didn't get any photo that showed off the velvet appearance of these flowers in a group.

This one is sweet. It's right next to the R. barbatum, but my friend Janet and I did not find the tag.

Here's my next favourite: Rhododenron bainbridgeanum, with beautiful translucent flowers.

The buds and leftover fruits on Rhododenron niveum were just as interesting as the showy flowers on the others.

I had a hard time trying to get the colour on the Rhododenron parmulatum 'Ocelot' , and I don't think I did get it. It was the most delicate yellow. Daniel, didn't you just write something on colour in photographs? Where was that?

Here's a grouping photo of the R. barbatum. Where is that 'Ocelot'?

I had reported to Andy that the tag was missing on that pink-flowered rhododendron, so he'll address that soon.

Thank you, Daniel! That photo shows exactly how exciting those flowers looked.

All I can tell about the 'Ocelot' location is that I photographed it after the fishtail camellia and before the Petasites. It's supposed to be 3AB8.

Maybe it went looking for rodents.

Douglas Justice told me yesterday that it's R. pachytrichum.
