I would assume (or hope!) all the species are native to the Vancouver area. Though the maple leaf looks most like Acer cappadocicum to me.

The leaf at the top, and lower right, reminds me of Cladrastis kentukea . . . or is it a shoot with several alternate leaves?

There is also at least one species of fern too, maybe Polystichum munitum.

Micheal, I would gesture that those are more likely Robinia pseudoaccacia, the tri-foliate leaf may be acer griseum or negundo, the ferns likely polystichum as you mentioned. not sure about the others, cant really see the detail well in the little logo. Whats the answer Daniel ?:)

    Garry oak
    American yellowwood
    tail-leaf maple
    Sargent mountain ash
    coliseum maple
    ginkgo
    paperbark maple
    licorice fern

We asked staff to choose from among a series of leaf silhouettes for a logo design. I think they accommodated us well. A talented local designer, Ivan Delorenzana, came up with the design.
