Late bloomer

    This is my Thansgiving cactus, it is still blooming, has a few more buds to go yet..its blooming late. This is one of the most beautifl blooms I have seen on a t-cactus.

    These plants can bloom more then once, sometimes three times a year for some folks, especially when the conditions are just right.

    Very nice!

    Thank you:) This is the first season for this one to bloom..I would be delighted for it to bloom again this year:)

    I believe "They" (the plant namers) have settled on Schlumbergera for this plant but you still see refrence to Rhipsalidopsis. One has single or double trumpet shaped flowers and lobed/rounded leaves , the other has horned leaves and flowers shaped like yours.

    The names C-mass ,thanksgiving, easter cactus etc come from the time of year they usually bloom. Some bloom several times a year so that blows the naming system. The flowers range from almost white to just about everything. Google Schlumbergera - pictures and take a look. Easy plant to grow so enjoy. barb
