    Hi folks,

Just about to take the plunge into roses, from what have been reading so far, people are saying to try a knockout rose bush or the double red one that is supposed to be vigorous?

I am in zone 5b, and just need something that will grow fast, scented if possible at night. Your thoughts?

Double Knock Out is a double red landscape rose recently introduced by Conrad Pyle (2004). I haven't seen it grown locally yet. But the Knockout rose is a single pink landscape rose which is disease resistance and can withstand a bit of neglect. Knockout was also introduced by Conrad Pyle (Star Roses), in 1999. I am not sure of it's rebloom. It is said to have a tea fragrance, but to my nose, it is only weakly scented.
