I'm trying to over-winter a big kalanchoe and I think that my house is a bit too warm for it to be dormant. It's getting ready to flower (for the first time) and I'm concerned it will die after that.

Should I snip these buds before they bloom?

Should I move it to my not very heated garage?

If the big stalks die, is this a terrible time to break off all the little plants? I could leave them and propogate them in the spring.
