    I couldn't say. I am not even that sure about the Genus. If it's a plant you will leave, it will be interesting to see the fruit. I certainly wouldn't eat anything that looked Solanaceous unless I had a positive ID.

    That is for sure a physalis, so you probably got the genus correct :)

    Yes I will be leaving it until it matures. I let weeds grow in my yard, because unlike most people, I am smart enough to know that some plants are edible and can be used for daily food, it is always of a better choice frugally than to go to the store.
