Hello. I am looking for some help IDing cup mushrooms that I found a few weeks ago during a hike on Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. My guess based on Google searches is that they are Anemone Cup Fungus. All of the Google results for this mushroom are from the UK which makes me second guess this. They were very small cups. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

Hi sevarg - Yes I agree with your questioning UK results, as mushrooms can often (not always) be regionally specific. Also useful to know that common names are sometimes variable or regional: They are interestingly consistent within the UK, but if we have the same species in north america, it very likely has a different common name. Cup fungi often require much detail, sometimes microscopy to identify.
If yours have stalks/stems, then they look a bit like a Tarzetta, though darker than the ones I see in my region of the PNW.
