    Another common flower, but unknown to me (and one mandala interpretation)

    that would be the pansy. Viola for the keeners I believe.

    syn. "Smarty pants"


    (my personal dictionary :)

    I guess it may be a bit of a slang term. slightly toungue in cheek derogatory.

    So, then, regarding "keeners," are they (to you) pansies or violas?

    Thanks for holding back what I'm sure must be your amazement at my lack of knowledge of what's what in the plant world. I do attempt to generalize from what I already know, but half the time I'm in error. Until I started taking pictures of them, I had not real sense of how astonishing flowers are.

    Binder... day to day I call em pansies. depends on my client I suppose when I am working, if they want botanical I go with it.
