I am trying to see if my celosia crtistata seeds are viable. If you drop the seeds in a cup of water and they sink does that mean they will germinate and the ones that float will not germinate?

If they are like rose seeds then the sinking ones have a better chance. I would still plant the floating ones and the sinking ones just incase.

Well leave them in the water and if they germinate that means they are still good. Then, you can plant them.
