Herbal leaf plant ~ what is it???

Thanks drhugo..does the foliage of yours "sambung nyawa" have fragrant ?? and what is the size of the leaf.....yes, the foliage look very resemblance..

Hi Kasman, No fragrance. Leaves grow up to about 9" long but I chew the medium size ones at about "6 when they are dark green and softer. Please let me know if you can find out the difference between the two plants. Cheers! Dr Hugo

It might be Vernonia amygdalina.

 

Moon, Thank you for your suggestion but it is not Vernonia. My plant has much larger leaves and only white flowers. Please let me know if you can find a match elsewhere. Cheers! Dr Hugo

 

I call it South Africa Leaf. I have grown it in Indonesia and Vietnam. There is a different version that is not bitter in the Philippines. In Indonesia, capsules, leaves, and stalks can be bought online from tokopedia. In Indonesia they call it Daun Afrika.

It "claims" to help or cure on the side of the bottle of 500mg capsules-

Vernonia amygdalina has white flowers and looks like a likely match to me.
