    I think this one is in the carrot family, but I cannot find it in my books.

    Answered my own dumb question... wild carrot.

    With this one, I am completely stuck... anyone recognize this?

    I'm fairly certain that this is a member of the pink family, and is possibly Gypsophila scorzonerifolia aka glandular baby's breath. If it is, it is an introduction from Europe and likely a garden escape. Was this in an urbanized area?
