Help with any of these would be appreciated.

    6. Yellow-flowered, early spring-blooming, deciduous shrub. Somewhat reminiscent of Cornus mas but develops silky silvery compound foliage.
    7. Obviously Lamiaceae, but what? A shrubby, evergreen perennial that flowers in late spring.
    8. Foliage a bit like Conyza but otherwise no real clues. A perennial that flowers in late spring to early summer.
    9. No ideas on this one. A shrub with heavy indumentum. A type of Viburnum?

    6. Was sure it was Cornus mas.
Would love to see another pic when the leaves are present. Baffled!

Are all these pics taken in N.Z?

It shouldn't be that with the alternate leaves. Another flower sort-of look-alike would be Lindera, but I don't see that any of those have compound leaves. L. benzoin has three-lobed leaves.
