I recently cut back my ponytail palm tree. It froze during the last cold spell we had. Its tops were bent over and the stems were split and squishy. The bark was also falling off. I cut it back until it was solid again. Have I killed this tree or will it grow new stems from the huge root base that it has?

Just saw your post. I have almost the exact same question posted. How is your palm faring? I cut my palm back about halfway down to where the trunk was firm, but now it is all becoming squishy.

Let me know please if you have had any luck or can give any suggestions!
